  • Each participant will have 1 gorilla, chimpanzee and golden monkey permit but we can help you secure more than one trek most especially for gorilla and chimpanzee at extra cost.
  • You will have an English-speaking tour leader but you will meet our guides along the way.
  • Pre-safari accommodation is included in this cost but clients can request post-accommodation at an extra cost.
  • Depending on the country you’re from you may require a visa either on arrival or apply before please check with your consular before travelling to Rwanda.

DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN KIGALI-TRANSFER TO THE HOTEL

After clearing immigration our representative will receive you from the airport and you will drive through welcoming Kigali city known to be one of the most effective and clean cities in Africa, you then head to your lodge for relaxation and overnight.

DAY 2: DRIVE TO NYUNGWE FOREST NATIONAL PARK

After an early morning you depart for Nyungwe forest national park, this will be slightly a long day as this drive will take you through king’s palace in Nyanza where you will experience typical Rwandan culture and later proceed to Butale where you will visit the Ethnographic Museum and Later drive through extra ordinary Nyungwe forest as you will have glimpse of monkeys and fantastic tea farms and on arrival you will check in to your lodge for overnight.

DAY 3: CHIMPANZEE TREKKING EXPEREINCE IN CYAMUDONGO-TRANSAFER LAKE KIVU IN KARONGI

With enough drinking water, fully dressed in trekking gear, your guide will pick you up and transfer you to Cyamudongo where you will meet with the rangers, get a full briefing about what to expect on the trek and after you will head in to the forest to trek the chimpanzees, after locating the chimpanzees, you will spend 1 hour in silence with the chimpanzees and later return to the office, you guide will transfer you to the lodge for refreshment and lunch and later you will depart for Lake Kivu, the Part of Africa’s Great Rift Valley, Lake Kivu in the west of Rwanda is surrounded by magnificent mountains and has deep emerald green waters covering a surface area of 2,700 km2.

DAY 4: BOAT CRUISE-TRANSFER VOLCANOES NATIONAL PARK

After morning breakfast, you will head out for boat cruise on Lake Kivu Part of Africa’s Great Rift Valley, Lake Kivu in the west of Rwanda is surrounded by magnificent mountains and has deep emerald green waters covering a surface area of 2,700 km2. It is Rwanda’s largest lake and the sixth-largest in Africa where you will expect to see historical islands, birds, Local fishermen, after the lovely boat cruise you will then return to the lodge for early lunch and later drive to Volcanoes National Park home to the endangered mountain gorillas and Golden monkeys.

DAY 5: GORILLA TRACKING EXPEREIECE TO VOLCANOES NATIONAL PARK-OPTIONAL ACTIVITIES IN KINIGI OR MUSANZE

After morning breakfast, you will drive to Volcanoes national park offices, the park protects the steep slopes of this magnificent mountain range – home of the endangered mountain gorilla and a rich mosaic of montane ecosystems, which embrace evergreen and bamboo forest, open grassland, swamp, and heath. This is one of the few areas in Africa where you can come face to face with the mountain gorillas, the trek is ranging from 2-6 hours depending on the location of the gorilla family, usually clients will spend 1 hour with the mountain gorillas after locating them and later you will return to the lodge for relaxation or optional activities can be arranged with the guide.

DAY 6: GOLDEN MONKEY TRACKING EXPERIENCE-TRANSFER TO KIGALI

After morning breakfast, you head in to the forest to discover the playful and inquisitive nature of the golden monkey, a beautiful little creature found only in the high-altitude forests of the Volcanoes National Park. Spend the morning searching the lush vegetation at the foot of Mount Sabinyo for one of two habituated groups of golden monkeys, one of them a troop of more than 80 members. Spend an enchanted hour watching their frolics as they leap among the slender shoots of bamboo or tumble among the dense foliage on the forest floor.

Active, sprightly little creatures, the golden monkeys are incredibly entertaining as they amuse themselves swinging through the bamboo or racing after one other in circles around and above you. Blending in perfectly with the golden bamboo, they are very pretty, with shiny reddish-gold backs.

DAY 7: KIGALI CITY TOUR AND TRANSFER TO THE AIRPORT

After morning breakfast you will head to Kigali city where you will start your city tour with a visit to Kigali genocide museum in Gisozi where you will spend 2-3 hours touring this historical museum, after you will drive to kimironko market where you will visit this vibrant market with colorful fresh vegetables and fruits and later you will break for local lunch, after will drive you to inema art center where you will witness some of East Africa’s most beautiful art pieces and later you will end the day with shopping at capulaki and later you will be transferred to the airport for your onward journey.,/p>
