Best time to visit Lake Manyara National Park
Lake Manyara National Park is renowned for its distinctive features the rare tree-climbing lions displaying typical cat behaviour where they are often spotted hanging in the branches of trees, a phenomenon rarely observed elsewhere the park is also a sanctuary for birds, the alkaline lake has become a haven for thousands of flamingos during the wet season, creating a mesmerizing pink hue across its waters. This birding paradise hosts over 400 species, offering an awesome show for birdwatchers during the green season from November to May.
When to go
Wildlife viewing in Lake Manyara National Park is good all year round, but the best time is from June to October, during the Dry season. However, being a scenic park the most extraordinary landscape is observed during the Wet season, from November to May, when the vegetation is lush and few waterfalls are seen on the escarpment.
