How to get to Lake Manyara National Park Tanzania
Located perfectly on the famous northern Tanzania safari circuit Lake Manyara National Park is one of the best places to kick-start your Tanzania vacation. This park is centered around a stunning alkaline lake Manyara that serves as a habitat for a wide variety of bird species and the Northern Rift Valley escarpment.
From November to April, visitors can witness thousands of greater and lesser pink flamingos gathered on the lake’s shores, along with pink-backed pelicans, yellow-billed storks, grey herons, and not forgetting hippos. Surrounding the lake are marshlands, grassy plains, and acacia woodlands that are home to tree-climbing lions, giraffes and elephants.

Getting to Lake Manyara National Park is quite easy from Arusha, the park is located 140 km from Arusha which is about a 3–4-hour drive and it is centrally located in the centre of routes from Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti National Park.
By air
Clients can fly into Lake Manyara airstrip and get transferred to their respective lodges which can take 1-2 depending on where you are staying.
