Lake Manyara National Park is home to a diverse range of wildlife, including elephants, giraffes, buffalos, zebras, wildebeests, and the famous tree-climbing lions. The park’s alkaline lake provides a haven for flamingos and other waterbirds, while the dense forests are home to primates such as blue monkeys and baboons.

The Best Time to Visit Lake Manyara National Park is during the dry season, which runs from June to October. During this period, the weather is dry, and the animals congregate around the water sources, making it easier to spot them.

The Maasai tribe are one of the best-known tribes of East Africa, they are famous for their colourful clothing and jewellery are instantly recognizable.

Meeting the Masai in their well-mauled bomas is one of the highlights of any visit to Lake Manyara National Park this experience allows you to meet some of the Maasai and have a tour of a traditional Maasai Boma/round houses – Boma is a Maasai name for their home and smallholding.
