Trip Overview
Travellers will visit Tarangire National Park which provides perfect habitat to plenty of wildlife like zebras, searching for underground streams in the dry river beds, flocks of up to about 300 elephants can be found. The shrinking lagoons are gathered around by migratory wildebeest, eland, gazelle, impala, zebras, kudu, hartebeest buffalo, and other smaller mammals. Also regularly spotted are the dry country antelope like the long-necked gerenuk and fringe-eared Oryx, Mongoose colonies are often hosted by abandoned drifts (anthills). The thick vegetation usually hides the main predators that are always there but cannot easily be seen just like any other parks in northern Tanzania.

Detailed itinerary
Today we drive from Arusha, Tanzania, to Tarangire National Park on arrival you will check in to the lodge for lunch and small relaxation and later in the evening you will head out for a game drive focusing on the permanent water holes, this will give you a chance to encounter enormous herds and excellent game including zebras, wildebeest and if you’re lucky you may see lion leopard and hyena and lots elephants.

Morning and afternoon game drives in the park that offers wonderful panoramas of wide savannah grasslands dotted with open acacia woodland studded with large Baobab trees.
Elephants in this park are majestic along with big herds of wildebeest, zebra, eland, hartebeest, buffalo and oryx, who, migrate from the dry Masai steppe to the gleaming Tarangire River in search of water during the dry season. 550 species of birds have been recorded and later in the day as the sun sets down you will enjoy a sundowner organized by your trip leader in the wilderness and later return to the lodge for overnight.
