TRIP OVERVIEW.

 Guests on this trip will arrive through Entebbe or Kampala the main capital Uganda; Entebbe is a small town located on the shores of Lake Victoria Africa’s largest fresh water body.

 Uganda tourist visas will be required for guests on this safari, this will allow access to Uganda and this can be obtained online.

 Drive time from Kampala or Entebbe to Bwindi impenetrable national park is 10-11 hours via Masaka-Mbarara-Kabale Road

DETAILED TRIP ITINERARY.

Day 1-Depart Entebbe or Kampala for Bwindi impenetrable national park.

Our safari guide will meet you at your lodge in Kampala or Entebbe in the morning for a short briefing about the safari and after you will be transferred to Bwindi forest using a 4×4 safari vehicle, this scenic drive will take you through the rolling hills of south-western Uganda, the hills are dotted with terraces and on arriving in southern Bwindi impenetrable national park you will check in to your lodge for relaxation and overnight.

Lodge: Ichumbi gorilla Lodge or similar

Day 2-Ultimate Gorilla Trekking Experience and Transfer to Kisoro.

After waking up with the misty views of the mighty Bwindi impenetrable national park you will enjoy breakfast and later transfer to the park office for a briefing with the Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers, they will give you full details of the trek, what to expect and later you will be split into groups of 8 people and your will start your trek, upon locating this gentle giant you will spend 1 hour with them as you will enjoy photographing, filming and watching the Mountain gorillas and later you will return to the park office for a short debrief and later you will drive to the foothills of the Virunga volcanoes for overnight.

Day 3-Golden monkey Trekking and Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi.

After morning breakfast you will drive to Mgahinga gorilla national park for golden monkey trekking, golden monkeys are rear species of monkeys with a golden color and are only found in the Virunga massive and some parts of Kahuzi-began national park in the democratic republic of Congo, this trek is led by a ranger from Uganda wildlife authority and you will spend 1 hour with the golden monkeys after locating them and later you will return to the park and later transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for relaxation.

Lodge: Lake Bunyonyi Eco Lodge.

Day 4-Return to Entebbe or Kampala.

After lazily morning breakfast you will be transferred to Kampala or Entebbe, on arrival our guide will take you to your hotel or to the airport for your onward journey.

Detailed itinerary

DAY 1: FULL DAY NAIROBI CITY TOUR

After an early morning breakfast at your lodge our guide will meet you for a short briefing about the day and after you will depart in your vehicle and head to the Nairobi national museum which showcase Kenya’s rich heritage after you will drive to the David Sheldrick elephant orphanage where you will learn more about the rescued elephants and the interesting work to protect them and release them to the wild after you will head to the giraffe manor where you will enjoy feeding the giraffes and learning about the conservation then after you will head to a local restaurant to try a typical Kenyan cuisine and later end the day at the famous Karen Blixen Museum and after here your guide will transfer you back to your lodge.
