Best time to visit Kibale Forest National Park

Best time to visit Kibale Forest National Park.
Best time to visit Kibale Forest National Park-Trekking chimpanzees in their natural habitat through the African jungle is one of the world’s most thrilling wildlife encounters that you don’t want to miss while planning a safari to East Africa, sitting quietly in silence a midst a troop of chimpanzees is a considered a privilege for any traveler.
Kibale forest experiences dry and wet seasons with dry season starting from June to September and December to February. The wet/rainy season on the other hand kick starts from March to May and from October to November. The rainy or wet season is usually characterized by heavy rainfall but incredible for bird watching.
When to go.
Kibale is open for Chimpanzee tracking all year long, but the best times to go are from June to August and December to February. At these times, the forest trails are drier and therefore less slippery. Also, your chance of a dry chimpanzee viewing experience is higher during these months. However, on the other hand, game viewing in Uganda’s savannah national parks is best at the end of the dry seasons- February and March and September and early October when wildlife is concentrated around water sources. Bird watching is fantastic all year round but is at its peak between November and April when migrant species are present.
