Lake Mburo is a freshwater lake situated within Lake Mburo National Park in western part of Uganda. It covers an area of approximately 260 square kilometers and is surrounded by rolling hills, open grasslands, and woodland. The lake is home to a variety of wildlife, including Hippos, crocodiles and wildlife like impalas, buffalos that come to drink water over 30 species of birds can be recorded on the Cruise.

Lake Mburo boat cruises typically depart from Rwonyo jetty every two hours, starting at 8:00 AM, 10 AM, 12 PM, 2PM, 4PM subject to minimum number of 4-6 travelers, also private cruises can be arranged.

The cruise on the lake equally guarantees one a view of the amazing flora and fauna at the national park alongside wildlife such as crocodiles,  hippos, and bird species such as African fish eagles, pelican, kingfishers, herons, cormorants, rare African finfoot, and hammerkops. It’s also realized that during the dry season some wildlife also frequent the water areas such as buffaloes and antelopes.
