Waterfalls Boat Cruise in Murchison Falls-The cruise upriver from the jetty at Paraa on the South bank to view Murchison Falls at the head of the Fajao Gorge has been the park’s most popular attraction since the 1950s. There are scheduled boat trips every afternoon departing by 2.30 pm as well as in the mornings at 08.30 am and 11.00 am.

The park operates different boats with different sitting capacity, they are boats for 6 people, 14 people and 38 for bigger groups respectively, the boats are equipped with life jackets, rain jackets, cooler boxes with drinks like water, soda and beer for travelers to buy and enjoy while on the cruise, snacks like pringles, chips and chocolates.

Best time for Boat cruise to Murchison Fall.

It’s best to do a boat cruise during the dry season, which is December through to February and June through to September. Murchison Falls is one of the hottest regions in Uganda which means during this time all the wildlife will come down to the River to drink water and also these months particularly receive less rainfall making it more convenient for the boat cruise to the Falls and the Nile Delta where the shoebill stork is sighted.
