DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN NAIROBI KENYA

On arrival at Jomo Kenyatta international airport, you will be received and transferred to Nairobi city which is famous for native culture, art, and history, and a fantastic experience to incorporate into your safari visit, you will be transferred to your lodge and if time allows you may Explore the popular streets in Nairobi, enjoy a short visit to the Nairobi Giraffe Center, and mingle with the Elephants at David Sheldrick Elephant Sanctuary and later enjoy dinner at your hotel and overnight.

DAY 2-3: DRIVE TO SAMBURU NATIONAL PARK

After morning breakfast, you will depart Nairobi for Samburu National Park where you will spend 2 nights exploring the park which is home to over 400 different species have been recorded in the reserve and its surroundings some of the most searched birds are The Somali ostrich. They may be common and gangly but they have great personalities and fascinating bird species include White-headed mousebirds, D’Arnaud’s barbet, Somali bee-eater, Golden pipit, Donaldson’s Smith sparrow-weaver, Golden-breasted starling, Rosy-patched bush-shrike.

The reserve is reached in wildlife with fame for abundance in rare northern specialist species such as the Gravy Zebra, Somali Ostrich, Reticulated Giraffe, Gerenuk, and the Beisa Oryx (Also referred to as Samburu Special). The reserve is also popular with a minimum of 900 elephants. Large predators such as the Lion, Leopard, and Cheetah are important attractions Wild dog sightings are also a common attraction to this unique protected area.

DAY 4: DRIVE FROM SAMBURU TO LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK

You will bid farewell to the lodge and transfer to Lake Nakuru national park where you will spend 1 night exploring the park which is a sanctuary for the Black Rhino and White Rhino, the latter introduced from South Africa.

Rothschild’s Giraffe was also introduced into the park in 1977. The rare Ethiopian Large-eared round leaf Batis resident. Other large mammals, some recently reintroduced, include African Lion, Cape Buffalo, Leopard, Black-and-white Colobus Monkey in the forest, the Common Eland, Steenbok, Impala, Chandler’s Reedbuck, Dik-dik in the bush-land along with the Rock hyrax and the Klipspringer on the cliffs and escarpment.

Lake Nakuru National Park is one of Kenya’s finest national parks. Flanked by rocky escarpments, pockets of acacia forest, and at least one waterfall, the park is a beautiful year-round destination. Globally threatened species have been recorded here, namely Madagascar Pond-Heron, Lesser Flamingo, Pallid Harrier, Greater Spotted Eagle, Grey-crested Helmet-shrike along with large congregations of Greater Flamingo, Black-necked Grebe, Little Grebe, Great White Pelican, Yellow-billed Stork, African Spoonbill, Black-winged Stilt, Grey-headed Gull and Gull-billed Tern.

The lake is internationally famous for its healthy populations of the globally threatened Lesser Flamingo.

DAY 5: GAME DRIVE AND TRANSFER TO LAKE NAIVASHA

You will head out early morning to have the best chance of seeing the most wildlife, as this is when the animals are most active. All of the big five with the exception of elephants can be found within the park, as well as other classic African wildlife such as zebra, giraffe, and cheetah. Many people will visit just for the opportunity to see the white rhino in its natural habitat, an opportunity found in few other places in Kenya. And later you will transfer to Lake Naivasha for overnight.

DAY 6-8: DRIVE FROM LAKE NAIVASHA TO MASAI MARA

After morning breakfast, you will enjoy a boat cruise on Lake Naivasha where you will visit Crescent Island Sanctuary offers a rare chance to literally walk with the animals, The island sanctuary isn’t home to any predators, so you can safely trade the safari car for your own two feet as you wander alongside zebras, giraffes, and wildebeest! and later drive to Maasai Mara National Reserve where you will spend the next 3 nights following wildebeest, whose numbers appear to have settled over 1 million, with supporting roles from some 400,000 Thomson’s gazelle, 300,000 zebras and 12,000 elands. These are the main migrators and they cross the ranges of over a quarter of a million other resident herbivores and, of course, carnivores. The lions, hyenas, leopards, cheetahs, and lesser predators await the annual coming of the migration with eager anticipation, clients will also have the opportunity to see the Masai villages or hot air balloon safaris over the vast plains of Masai Mara.

DAY 9: FLIGHT FROM MASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE TO NAIROBI FOR YOUR ONWARD JOURNEY

Depending on your flight details you may enjoy another morning game drive before returning to Nairobi on your scheduled flight. Upon your return to Nairobi, you'll be transferred to your hotel or the airport.
