Travellers will enjoy a boat cruise on Lake Victoria to track the shoebill stork north of the Entebbe wetlands, drive northwards to Ziwa Rhino and Wildlife Sanctuary to trek the white Rhinos on foot, enjoy a boat cruise, walking safari and game drives in Murchison, Queen Elizabeth and Lake Mburo savannah parks, trek chimpanzees in Kibale and Kyambura gorge before encountering the mountain gorillas in Bwindi rain forest before heading to finest Lake Bunyonyi for a relaxing holiday and you will be transferred to Kigali for your departure flight.

Detailed itinerary
On arrival at Entebbe international park, your trip leader will welcome you and transfer to your lodge in Entebbe, this vibrant city is surrounded by Lake Victoria, one of Africa’s largest freshwater body and home to the huge Nile perch and abundant birdlife.

After morning breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and drive to the starting point for the canoe boat that will take you to the Mabamba wetland which is home to the Endangered Shoebill stork a pre-historic bird that lives in the wetlands north of Entebbe and several other bird species in the wetland, after you will start your drive to Ziwa Rhino sanctuary arriving in time for check-in and dinner.

After morning breakfast, You will embark on rhino trekking with the expert ranger guides on foot, coming close to the white Rhinos is quite a special encounter, after you will depart to Uganda’s premier wildlife destination, the park is blessed with wildlife and birds some of the highlights are the hippos, Crocodiles, elephants and Giraffes you can also see predators like Lions, Leopards and Hyenas, the highlight of the park is the waterfalls that squeezes through narrow gorge, you visit the falls and later proceed for evening game drive.

After an early morning breakfast, you will drive to the park’s northern bank where you will aim for the Nile Delta where wildlife roam on the shores of the river and open plains, as you will look out for elephants, giraffes, buffalos, hartebeest, oribi, warthog, Uganda Kob, hippos and predators like Lions, leopard jackals and hyenas and not forgetting the abundant birdlife after the drive you will join on scheduled boat cruise to the bottom of the falls where you will expect to see hippos, crocodiles and elephants and later return to the lodge for relaxation.

After lazily morning breakfast you will depart Murchison falls national park for Kibale national park, this park is a low-lying rainforest home to 13 species of primates the dominant being the chimpanzee others include red-tailed monkeys, L'Hoest's monkeys, Black and White Colobus monkeys, baboons, vervet monkeys, blue monkeys, grey cheeked mangabey, Demidoff Galago, Uganda Red Colobus, Pottos, and the Uganda mangabey, this drive will also take through vast tea farms and on arrival at the lodge you will check in to the lodge for relaxation and Overnight.

After early morning breakfast, your guide will transfer you to the park/visitor information center for registration and briefing. Thereafter, the park guide will take you through this adventurous experience where you may be blessed with enormous encounters with chimpanzee and various forest primates like the red colobus monkeys, black-and white colobus monkeys, baboons, red cheeked mangabeys and other forest species. After the tracking activity, you will return to the lodge for a hot lunch and later drive to Queen Elizabeth national park for game drive in the Kasenyi plains with the possibility of viewing animals such as elephants, Uganda Kob, waterbuck, lions, leopards, buffalos, and many more and later continue to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

After morning breakfast you will embark on a chimp trek in Kyambura Gorge which is a low lying forest situated in the heart of the Rift valley in Queen Elizabeth national park, this magnificent forest sits amidst the savannah underneath the mountains of the moon commonly known as Rwenzori and this exceptional forest is crossed by River Kyambura which acts as a key asset for wildlife during the dry season, after 3-4 hours trekking in the forest you will return to the lodge for lunch and take a boat cruise on kazinga channel, this natural channel connects Lake Edward and gorge making it a key habitat for wildlife, large herds of elephants and buffalos come to drink water every day and the birdlife is exceptional, the cruise takes about 2 hours.

After breakfast, you will set off and drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park which is home to more than half the world population of mountain gorillas via Ishasha sector which is on the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth national park with a possibility of seeing the famous tree-climbing lions, abundant antelope, buffalo and excellent hippo pods off the shore of ishasha River, after you will continue to Bwindi enroute you will see some dramatic landscapes as you will be moving to higher altitudes of over 2000 meters above sea level, upon arrival, you will check in your lodge for dinner and overnight.

After morning breakfast with packed lunch and fully dressed in your trekking gear, you will transfer to the park office for a briefing by the rangers, after the briefing you will start your trek on foot, sitting in silence on the cold ground of a Ugandan forest for 60 minutes might be one of life’s greatest privileges. There are fewer than 1000 mountain gorillas in existence, and gorilla trekking provides a rare opportunity to observe the everyday interactions of these gentle, mysterious primates. The special encounter normally just last precious one hour and after you will depart for Lake Bunyonyi the deepest volcanic lake in Uganda and home to 29 stunning islands perfect for relaxation.
