Guests on this trip will arrive through the Rwandan capital Kigali; Kigali is one of the most beautiful cities in Africa with an extraordinary history back from the 1994 Rwandan Genocide which claimed lives of over 800,000 people.

East African visas will be required for guests on this safari, this will allow access to both Uganda and Rwanda as the gorilla trekking will take place in Uganda’s Bwindi impenetrable national park.

DAY 1: PICK UP FROM YOUR HOTEL IN ARUSHA AND TRANSFER TO NGORONGORO CONSERVATION AREA
DAY 1: PICK UP FROM KIGALI AND TRANSFER TO BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK

You will be met by your trip leader in Kigali in the morning, you will have short tour of Kigali and the drive to Uganda where you will cross the border at either Katuna or Cyanika and then proceed to Bwindi impenetrable national park covering 32,092 ha, is one of the largest areas in East Africa which still has Afro-montane lowland forest extending to well within the montane forest belt. Located on the eastern edge of the Albertine Rift Valley and believed to be a Pleistocene refugium, the property is a biodiversity hotspot with possibly the greatest number of tree species for its altitude in East Africa. It is also host to a rich fauna including a number of endemic butterflies and one of the richest mammalian assemblages in Africa. Home to almost half of the world’s mountain gorilla population

DAY 2: GORILLA TREKKING EXPERIENCE IN BWINDI FOREST AND TRANSFER KISORO

After waking up with the misty views of the mighty Bwindi impenetrable national park you will enjoy breakfast and later transfer to the park office for a briefing with the Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers, they will give you full details of the trek, what to expect and later you will be split into groups of 8 people and where you will start your trek, upon locating this gentle giant you will spend 1 hour with them as you will enjoy photographing, filming and watching the Mountain gorillas and later you will return to the park office for a short debrief and later you will drive to the foothills of the Virunga volcanoes for overnight.

DAY 3: GOLDEN MONKEY TREKKING AND TRANSFER KIGALI

After morning breakfast, you will drive to Mgahinga gorilla national park for golden monkey trekking, golden monkeys are rear species of monkeys with a golden color and are only found in the Virunga massive and some parts of Kahuzi-began national park in the democratic republic of Congo, this trek is led by a ranger from Uganda wildlife authority and you will spend 1 hour with the golden monkeys after locating them and later you will return to the park and later transfer back to Kigali.
