Four Gorillas Lodge Rushaga Bwindi Forest

Four Gorillas Lodge located at the edge of Bwindi’s Rushaga gorilla trekking is a semi-luxury lodge with a unique setup and dramatic views of the impenetrable forest, while enjoying drinks and snacks at the many lounges you will often see movements in the canopy and usually those will be monkeys swinging along the branches, the lodge is perched on the cliff offering great comfort during your gorilla trekking and gorilla habituation safaris in Uganda.

Four gorillas have 8 spacious fully furnished cottages with bathrooms and a private deck, the cottages are scattered along the cliff offering perfect views from your room.

Four Gorillas Lodge is located in the southern part of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park; this is one of the few lodges located in the Rushaga gorilla trekking region of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

How to get to Four Gorillas Lodge

Getting to Four Gorillas Lodge is really not an issue, depending on where you’re coming from the access points are either through Kabale or Kisoro town.

By road

By road Four Gorillas Lodge is a 9-10 hours’ drive from Entebbe or Kampala via Mbarara-Ntungamo-Kabale –Kisoro road, those on our regular safaris will access the lodge from Queen Elizabeth National Park which is approximately 5-6 hours.

By Air

Clients from Entebbe can fly into Kisoro airstrip either using scheduled flights or private charter and take the 3-hour transfer in a 4×4 safari vehicle to the lodge.

From Kigali

The easiest and most cost-effective way to get to Four Gorillas Lodge is by flying into the Rwandan capital Kigali and driving via the Volcanoes National Park and crossing via the Cyanika border into Uganda’s Kisoro town and then continuing to the lodge this scenic drive can 5-6 hours.
