Gorilla Heights Lodge Nkuringo Bwindi Forest

Gorilla heights lodge is a new safari lodge located at 2000 above sea level on the ridge of the hill overlooking the Bwindi forest providing visitors with dramatic views of the world heritage site and home to the endangered mountain gorillas. The lodge was built using modern materials and it has a swimming pool where clients can swim after a gorilla trekking experience. The lodge is 7 minute’s walk to the park headquarters for gorilla trekking and a 1-hour drive to Rushaga famous for the gorilla habituation experience.

Gorilla heights has a total of 15 private cottages perched along the ridge overlooking the mighty Bwindi impenetrable national park providing some of the, most dramatic landscapes in the area.

Gorilla heights lodge is located in the Nkuringo region of Bwindi impenetrable national park which is the upper south of Bwindi forest, the lodge is located 2.5 hours away from Kisoro town.

How to get to Gorilla Heights Lodge

The lodge can be accessed from many locations but our most recommended way by flying from Entebbe to Kisoro airstrip and taking the 2.5-hour drive, the lodge can also be accessed from Queen Elizabeth national park by taking the 6-hour drive or from Kigali the main capital of Rwanda and the drive is about 5 hours via volcanoes national park.
