By road

Kampala or Entebbe is the main entry point to Uganda and those heading to Ichumbi from the main capital will take the 9-10 hours’ drive via Masaka-Mbarara-Ntungamo-Kabale road or those on our regular tours will access the area from Queen Elizabeth national park which is approximately 5-6 hours’ drive.

By air

There are scheduled or charter flights from Entebbe to Kisoro airstrip which is a 3 hour drive to Ichumbi gorilla lodge in a 4×4 safari vehicle.

From Rwanda

Both border points of Katuna and Cyanika lead to Ichumbi gorilla lodge and the drive time is 5-6 hours and it’s the most recommended and cost-effective way to get to Rushaga gorilla trekking region.
