Mucha Lodge is a beautiful boutique lodge situated at the base of the Virunga volcanoes, the lodge is a perfect base for clients trekking mountain gorillas and Golden monkeys in Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, the nice elegant lodge is located on a small stream that connects Lake Mulehe and Lake Mutanda, the lodge’s close proximity to Bwindi impenetrable national park, Mgahinga gorilla national park makes it a top place to stay during your gorilla trekking safari in Uganda.

The lodge provides a perfect ambiance with the sounds of birds and the river making it a relaxing spot for our clients, great food and perfect deck for relaxation.

Mucha lodge is a beautiful boutique hotel with 10 bedrooms and a beautiful river going through its gardens. All the rooms have either a view of the river Mucha or the volcanic mountains of Virunga.

Location of Mucha Lodge

Mucha Lodges is located on the Bwindi- Kisoro Road about 500 meters from Lake Mulehe and about 6 kilometers from Lake Mutanda. The name Mucha comes from the “River Mucha” that flows from Lake Mulehe through our premises and ends up at Lake Mutanda.

How to get to Mucha Lodge

Mucha is one of the most accessible lodges in the great Virunga area; the lodge is 6 km from Kisoro town, the lodge can be accessed by air or by road from Kampala or Kigali via Kisoro, there are daily flights from Entebbe to Kisoro airstrip and you can fly into this area and take the 6 km drive in a 4×4 safari vehicle.
