You will visit Northern Serengeti where one of the greatest wildlife spectacles on earth takes place, wildebeest migration which seems to neither start nor finish in their endless search for food and water, as they migrate across the Serengeti- Masai Mara ecosystem in a relentless sequence of life and death which occurs annually.

You will visit Ngorongoro Crater which is one of Africa’s most famous sites and is said to have the highest density of wildlife in Africa.  Sometimes described as an ‘eighth wonder of the world’, the Crater has achieved world renown, attracting an ever-increasing number of visitors each year.

You will trek the endangered Mountain gorillas in Rwanda’s Volcanoes National Park, Trekking the endangered mountain gorillas remains one of the undisputed highlights of any visit to Rwanda, meeting these incredible primates deep in the rainforest can only be described as an emotionally overwhelming experience.

You will trek the rear golden monkeys in Rwanda’s Volcanoes National Park.

DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN KILIMANJARO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT AND TRANSFER TO ARUSHA

On arrival in Kilimanjaro international Airport, you will be received by our guide and transferred to Arusha which is the gateway to Tanzania’s northern circuit. Perched under Mount Meru and surrounded by coffee plantations and flower farms, Arusha is the starting point for many Tanzania safaris to the Northern circuit, and the base town for Kilimanjaro climbs.

DAY 2: FLIGHT FROM ARUSHA TO NORTHERN SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast, you'll be transferred to Arusha Airport for your flight to the Kogatende area of the Northern Serengeti, this part of Serengeti is covered in large acacia trees which support large amounts of elephants, giraffes, antelopes, buffaloes, and the carnivores that prey on them. It's a fascinating opportunity to see a large number of Africa's most iconic animals in a relatively small amount of time. Enjoy a bird's eye view of Tanzania as you make the short trip, where you'll be met by your endless plains Africa tour leader upon arrival.

You'll spend your day driving through this distinct and beautiful region of the park in search of the Wildebeest Migration and the Big Five.

DAY 3: FULL DAY NORTHERN SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast, you will start your game drive around the Kogatende area, searching around the kopjes looking for carnivores and the large migration groups that will be preparing to cross the Mara River into Kenya.

Home to large numbers of hippos and Nile crocodiles, the Mara River is the last major obstacle standing between the Wildebeest Migration and the relative safety of the Masai Mara. If you're patient and a little lucky, you may even get to witness the death-defying crossing itself where wildebeest and zebras brave the river's currents and crocodiles in an attempt to reach safety on the opposite bank.

DAY 4: DRIVE FROM NORTHERN SERENGETI TO CENTRAL SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

We'll start our day immediately after breakfast, driving through the plains of Togoro and the Mbuzi Mawe kopjes on our way to cross the Banagi River into the Seronera region of the Central Serengeti. Along the way, you'll spot everything from the enigmatic dik-diks to towering elephants, and everything in between, The Seronera is often known as 'big cat country', and its kopjes and acacias provide an excellent opportunity to spot pride of lazy lions, sleek cheetahs out on the hunt, and leopards overseeing everything from their lofty perches.

The region's hippo pools and wide-open spaces provide ample opportunities for game viewing.

DAY 5: DRIVE FROM CENTRAL SERENGETI TO NGORONGORO CONSERVATION AREA

After breakfast, we get right on the road back towards the Ngorongoro Crater National Park.

Our drive takes us back through the Serengeti via a different route, offering plenty of opportunities to spot the animals that eluded you on your drive. As far as the eye can see, you’ll spot thousands upon thousands of animals in herds; wildebeests and zebras migrating together, tall and graceful giraffes, jumping antelopes and gazelles, the powerful African elephant and the most respected group of animals: the predators.

You will have the chance to spot lean cheetahs and shy leopards, foraging hyenas, and last but not least, the king himself; the lion as you proceed to Ngorongoro conservation Area.

DAY 6: FULL DAY NGORONGORO CRATER

After breakfast, you'll descent to the Ngorongoro Crater; considered by some to be the Eighth Wonder of the World. When you get your first glimpse of this vast, verdant caldera from the panoramic viewpoint, you'll soon understand why it has earned such a lofty reputation.

Home to over 120 species of mammal including the fabled Big Five, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area is one of the most sought-after safari destinations in the world. It's a particularly good place to see the endangered black rhinoceros enjoying a lonely meal out on the grass plains, as well as a place to see large numbers of hippopotamus enjoying the cool water. From the comfort of your open-top vehicle, you'll be able to observe and photograph some of Africa's most recognizable faces. The crater is home to a large number of predators including lions, leopards, cheetahs, jackals, and hyenas, as well as a large population of wildebeest, zebras, antelope, cape buffalo, and more. It is truly one of Africa's premier safari destinations.

DAY 7: DRIVE FROM NGORONGORO TO TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK

After morning breakfast, you will depart for Tarangire National Park early in the morning. Once we arrive in Tarangire we will begin exploring the enormous termite mounds and the ancient baobab trees. This park is renowned for its diverse bird species and extensive population of elephants. There are regular sightings of ferocious lions, giraffe, warthogs, ostriches, impalas, cheetah, mongoose, buffaloes, and mischievous baboons.

DAY 8: DRIVE FROM TARANGIRE TO KILIMANJARO FOR YOUR FLIGHT TO KIGALI

Depending on the time of your connecting flight to Kigali, you may explore the park in the morning as you look out for wildlife around the water holes and later you will drive to Arusha for lunch and later transfer to Kilimanjaro airport for your flight to Kigali, on arrival at Kigali international airport you will be transfer to the lodge for overnight.

DAY 9: MORNING KIGALI CITY TOUR AND TRANSFER TO VOLCANOES NATIONAL PARK

After your morning breakfast at your hotel, our guide will meet you for a short briefing about the day’s plan and after you will board the car and drive to Kigali genocide museum in Gisozi where you will spend 2 hours touring this historical museum and later you will drive to the Kigali museum of natural history where you will spend 1 hours and after you will drive to kimironko market where you will visit this vibrant market with colorful fresh vegetables and fruits and later you will break for local lunch and after local lunch our drive /guide will drive you to inema art center where you will witness some of East Africa’s most beautiful art pieces and from here your bike guide will pick you up for a ride through the city back to hotel Rwanda where you will meet your tour leader for Lunch and then drive to Volcanoes national park.

DAY 10: FULL DAY MOUNTAIN GORILLA TREKKING EXPERIENCE.

After an early breakfast at your hotel, you'll proceed directly to the Volcanoes National Park's headquarters to meet your guides. After completing the briefing, you'll embark on the once in a lifetime experience of tracking the enigmatic mountain gorillas. There is no guarantee how long or difficult your tracking experience will be as it depends on where the family of gorillas is and on weather conditions, it can take anywhere from two up to six hours of trekking through the mountain forest at relatively high altitudes. Fitness is definitely recommended for those wishing to undertake the excursion.

One of the most memorable experiences you're likely to ever have, you'll be allowed an hour of close contact with the gorillas once you've found them. You'll be privileged enough to come within mere meters of a family of these rare and beautiful animals, observing their family dynamics and getting to learn a bit about each gorilla's distinct personality in serene silence.

DAY 11: GOLDEN MONKEY TREKKING AND TRANSFER TO KIGALI FOR YOUR DEPARTURE.

After morning breakfast, you head in to the forest to discover the playful and inquisitive nature of the golden monkey, a beautiful little creature found only in the high-altitude forests of the Volcanoes National Park. Spend the morning searching the lush vegetation at the foot of Mount Sabyinyo for one of two habituated groups of golden monkeys, one of them a troop of more than 80 members. Spend an enchanted hour watching their frolics as they leap among the slender shoots of bamboo or tumble among the dense foliage on the forest floor.

Active, sprightly little creatures, the golden monkeys are incredibly entertaining as they amuse themselves swinging through the bamboo or racing after one other in circles around and above you. Blending in perfectly with the golden bamboo, they are very pretty, with shiny reddish-gold backs after the beautiful experience you will return to the lodge for refreshment and later transfer to Kigali for your flight.
