When is the best time to go Mountain Gorilla Trekking
When is the best time to go Mountain Gorilla Trekking?
If you’re planning a trip to East Africa the weather is often an important factor, in the northern hemisphere, the weather is generally determined according to four seasons: spring, summer, fall and winter. In many East African countries, however, the year is divided into two, the rainy and dry seasons. Both have their own characteristics and knowing what they are is key to successfully planning your vacation.
Dry season (Best)
Although it’s regarded as a year-round activity, the best time to visit East Africa for a spectacular mountain gorilla trekking experience is during the country’s two dry seasons from December to February and from June to September.
Rainy season (Good)
The rainy seasons lasting from March to May, and a more sporadic rainy season from November to December are the best times to see lots of wildlife with fewer tourists as the grass is greener and landscapes are dramatic during these periods, while accommodation and tours are often cheaper, the rainforests of Rwanda and Uganda experience torrential rain and frequent flooding, making Making Gorilla trekking harder and the routes more impassable.
