St. Elizabeth’s Cathedral Malabo Equatorial Guinea
St. Elizabeth’s Cathedral Malabo Equatorial Guinea
St. Elizabeth’s Cathedral is a Roman Catholic cathedral located on Independencia Avenue in the city of Malabo, the capital of Equatorial Guinea, home of the Archdiocese of Malabo. It is considered the largest Christian church in the nation. It was named after St. Elizabeth of Hungary.
The Church is picturesquely placed next to the harbour of the city and makes a great stop for both its interior and exterior decoration. It also gives you a splendid view of the harbour and city. It won’t take more than a fifteen-minute visit but after you’re done, you can walk to the square plaza outside and spend some time there. Nearby, there’s the Presidential Palace and another favorite building is the Sofitel Hotel.
We arrange guided tours to visit this extraordinary church with a rich history of the roman catholic church, we highly recommend visiting this church while in Malabo City during your city tour.
